The
High Flights Soaring La Veta
Memorial Day Camp for 1999 was not hugely attended,
but everyone had a good time.
Craig Kloppenburg
has provided some pictures he took at the camp, along with some commentary.
Sorry for the large size if you're on a small bandwidth connection,
but this is how they were provided.
It's because they're huge, not because no compression has been applied.
If you'd like them all zipped up and emailed to you, I can do that,
just send me a request..
Enjoy.
- [393K] Ray Marvin landing the 2-33
with a passenger (a local police officer).
- [430K] Ray Marvin flying a passenger in the
2-33 - the 2-33 appears above and to the left of Baldy.
- [508K] West Spanish Peak from the airport.
You can make out a lava dike near the base.
- [670K] Some mule deer south of La Veta,
good for watching after flying is over for the day.
- [413K] One of the lava dikes at the base of
West Spanish Peak.
